Japanese bamboo, or knotweed is an invasive shrub that bees use to make an amazing dark, rich honey in early fall. Almost black, the honey is rich and molasses-like, without the heavy mineral overtones of some dark honeys like buckwheat.
This honey is raw and has been filtered only enough to remove foreign materials. Like all true honey, it contains trace amounts of pollen. SORRY! SOLD OUT FOR THE SEASON. MORE IN FALL.
