This jar was first used in the 1850s. Its embossed straw skep bee hive and cork closure make it the perfect charming wedding or shower favor. We will be getting the 4 ounce size this spring; it was not manufactured for several years. Filled with wildflower honey. This antique corked honey jar mold, dating from the 1850's and known in the trade as a "Muth" jar has an old fashioned basket hive "skep" embossed on it. We've packaged one 8 ounce jar each of our linden-wildflower, blueberry blossom, and wildflower. We stencil flowers on the wooden box for a special touch. Each one is a little different. Makes a lovely gift.
