About Us
Gooserock Farm, based in Morris County in northern New Jersey, manages about 100 colonies of honey bees at apiaries in Boonton Township, Montville, Pine Brook, and Towaco. Run by Master Beekeeper Landi Simone, the farm produces prize-winning local, raw, minimally processed honey, and premium natural cosmetics and handmade soaps using the beeswax and honey we harvest from our colonies.
As a small, local farm, we rely on a handful of trusted employee-friends to help us. All our products are made entirely by hand, in small batches. Our honey bees are managed using the most natural methods possible, and our focus is on breeding a locally adapted line of queen bees – our “Jersey Girl Hygienic Queens” – that have a high degree of disease resistance, gentleness, and productivity.
Visitors are welcome to come purchase products at our farm store, the “Honey House,” a self-service facility which is open during daylight hours only, 7 days/week. The Honey House has all our honey and beeswax products available for purchase, as well as fresh eggs from our own chickens, when they are laying. If you decide to visit us, please plan on paying with exact change cash or a check.
Store Policies
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express through the secure website of PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use your credit card to pay for purchases; you can pay as a guest. The charges will appear on your credit card as PayPal*Gooserock.
Return Policy
We want you to be perfectly happy with your order. If you have a problem, email us at Landi@gooserockfarm.com or call and leave us a message on the farm phone: 973-263-0674. We promise to do our very best to make it right.
Shipping Information
Most of our orders will ship via Priority Mail through the US Postal Service. We occasionally elect to use UPS on some larger or heavier orders. You will be able to select expedited shipping for an extra charge but if you do so, please alert us by dropping us an email or phone call. During certain times of the year when we are extremely busy with our bees, we are not always able to pack and ship orders the same day. If this happens and you have paid extra for faster shipping, we will credit your credit card for the extra shipping costs you paid.
Custom Order Policy
Gooserock Farm regularly fills custom orders for its customers for wedding/shower favors or corporate holiday gifts. Because we are a very small farm, we ask your consideration in giving us as much advance notice as possible for custom orders. A minimum of two weeks is needed, and larger orders may need more time than this. Email us at Landi@gooserockfarm.com or call us at 973-263-0674.
Wholesale Information
We do not wholesale our products. They are available for retail purchase only on-line, at our farm stand, the Honey House, and at various local farmers markets in Morris County, NJ
