About Us
We are a home based business on Camano Island centered in the beautifully scenic Pacific Northwest, and you may notice that some of our soaps have names that reflect our love for the area.
The passion for soapmaking started 12 yrs ago with endless attempts to find a soap that was not drying or irritating to my childs sensitive skin. Commercial soaps were literally stripping the moisture from her already dry and rough skin.
After spending some time researching things that might help, handcrafted soap was looking like a great option for us to use on her sensitive skin.
Using the old fashioned cold process method, all of the naturally occuring glycerin is retained in the finished soap, which makes it a great alternative to commercial products for cleansing, while maintaining a reasonable level of feeling clean and comfortable.
I set out to teach myself to make handcrafted soap, and discovered a huge passion for making my own, using ingredients that I am able to choose to make the type of soap I want to make. The soapmaking passion turned into formulating other more natural options for all of our skincare needs, and the ability to control what goes into them.
This is a very small company where everything is made in small controlled batches. In our fragranced products, only the highest quality skin safe perfume oils, essential oils, and colorants are used, with sensitive skin in mind.
So live a little ... After all ... clean and comfortable skin doesn't always have to be boring. |
